September 11th News Article
Early on the morning of September 11th, 2001 two planes collided with the both towers of the World Trade Center. Members of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group hi-jacked planes and flew them into the towers. The attacks both happened early in the morning. Another plane was flown into the Pentagon. The fourth and final plane that was hi-jacked was flown into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The death toll is reportedly 2,996 deaths, which includes terrorists and casualties. The towers both had steel supportings to hold them up; this was the first fire to ever bring down a steel structured support system. Firefighters and paramedics quickly rushed to the scent to go and rescue people stranded on the top floors. 341 firefighters were lost in the attack. They were doing their job to fight the blazing inferno and save people. The buildings crumbled on top of them they had no idea that the buildings were going to fall. The plane that crashed into the field in Shanksville had reportedly been re-captured by the people on the plane. They saved the plane from crashing into the White House. The United States went to war with the Middle East terrorist groups shortly after.

A police report on 9/11

Early on September 11,2001,19 hijackers seized control of four planes.Calmly and precisely, and using sophisticated methods of communication, they systematically crashed two planes into the World Trade Center. One other struck the Pentagon, while another landed in a field near Shankville.

The motivation of the hijackers seemed at first to be unclear, but upon further
investigation, it appears to be an attack executed by the terrorist group Al Qaeda.

All military force in the nation, including the CIA, are working to prevent a recurrence of this situation and have already brought justice to some of the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Personal Accounts of 9/11

All of this web links are personal accounts of the effects of 9/11.  Most articles are in the point of view of adults, but in one of the articles, it is in the point of view of a child.  All of these resources are reliable.  They range from New York Magazine to The Weather Channel.  Each article has a different point of view, but they are all valid interpretations of the events of 9/11.  Some of these pages are even in blog form with dates and times, which I like a lot.

New York Magazine is a credible and famous magazine.  There is no doubt about it.  What makes this article unique is that it includes the points of view of 16 different individuals.  This article gives good detail and tells a story, which I think rather than reading facts, makes these events more relatable.

I like this article because it is in blog format, with dates and times.  It makes you feel like you're there.  You can follow along.  However, this website may not be as reliable as others.  The Noe Valley Voice is not a known well periodical.  But the facts seem factual to me.

This one is also in blog format.  It is in a blog, but not written by the author.  It is said to be written by a friend's son.  This also may not be as reliable as other sources, but it does share some information on how the child felt before, during and after the attacks.

http://www.weather.com/outlook/weather-news/news/articles/remembering-9/11_2011-09-01%20from=
This article comes from The Weather Channel website.  Peculiar, I know.  But it is in the point of view of a weather person who was out reporting the weather when the attacks were happening.  The Weather Channel is a very reliable and well known source.

http://www.pbs.org/itvs/caughtinthecrossfire/after911.html
This article comes from pbs.org, which is a well known website and television channel.  This article is kind of cool, in that it has many, many different points of view.  Young, old, man, woman, child.  Everyone has a story and everyone can share it.  They all can touch on something that affected them.
