September 11th News Article

Early on the morning of September 11th, 2001 two planes collided with both towers of the World Trade Center. Members of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group hi-jacked planes and flew them into the towers. The attacks both happened early in the morning. Another plane was flown into the Pentagon. The fourth and final plane that was hi-jacked was flown into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The death toll is reportedly 2,996 deaths, which includes terrorists and casualties. The towers both had steel supportings to hold them up; this was the first fire to ever bring down a steel structured support system. Firefighters and paramedics quickly rushed to the scene to go and rescue people stranded on the top floors. 341 firefighters were lost in the attack. They were doing their job to fight the blazing inferno and save people. The buildings crumbled on top of them, they had no idea that the buildings were going to fall. The plane that crashed into the field in Shanksville had reportedly been re-captured by the people on the plane. They saved the plane from crashing into the White House. The United States went to war with the Middle East terrorist groups shortly after.
